This artistic movement analyzes various questions on the reality of a territory in constant evolution.

Marco Angelini, attracted by this modernity, declines its contours with the help of territories and people who have become works of art of small size from an object of observation: a cycle exhibited recently at the Novus Art Gallery of Abu Dhabi entitled “Desert Cities.”

The Gulf War that led to the liberation of Kuwait led many families to combine traditions and styles with other forms “conditioned” by the fashion and splendor that symbolize the Saudi power.

The Emirates live in a complex ecosystem and their lives are built on the persistent struggle for the advancement of desert areas. The cities displayed how human actions can be integrated into nature, through a radical transformation of places. The metropolis born a few decades ago, makes them contemporary and projects their inhabitants towards a constant future, while keeping the past.

Marco Angelini analyzes his social and cultural metamorphosis and uses his art as a lever to start an innovative dialogue around two colors: white and black.

This essentiality communicates a deep reflection on the tradition which seems to escape from an inevitable present.

Part of the Emirates uses traditional clothing, white for men and black for women, while colorful haute couture accessories complete their distinctive style.

But the artist’s focus does not hurt the stereotype with which all peoples are approached, indeed these definitions intersect and solicit different themes.

This distinctive sign does not want to be representative of the person himself but makes everything unclassifiable and therefore equal.

Saying Angelini’s attentive sign thus becomes a semiotic operation which relieves the artistic gesture of the literary description of environmental sustainability, obviously a receptacle of variations.

It is obvious that works of art in small format must be analyzed in their stylistic code by approaching a discourse based on the marginalized.

Indeed, Angelini brings back the colors, and retraces the feeling of fantasy by observing its future: it is the form which gives rise to the dialogues.

Each work is very well divided into two parts with a horizontal section, the apparently separate colors and the abstract forms are continually contaminated, and it is in their entirety that the interpretation is born by the re-reading of the details.

In some works, we can admire the white color combined with the brown color: an essential abstract art, a reference to environmental issues: the desert and the glaciers.

The search for balance in the United Arab Emirates always places man at the center of a struggle full of respect for the environment that welcomes him.

Contemporary art is therefore extraordinary in that it helps us to frame important and apparently unsolvable problems in a short frame.

Marco Angelini always returns positivity in his works and thanks to the observation of men and technologies realizes solutions for the future by placing them on his canvases.

The works of this delicate and strong cycle, at this stage allow us to glimpse details, transformations, and pacifications with the environment.

The propensity for change is a cultural operation that the Arab countries carry out in a very short time. The technological innovations implemented offer new generations a scenario divided into two: the past and the future, technology and tradition, ancient and contemporary culture.

The works of the “desert cities” retrace a sociological and environmental ideology which must remain close to see interconnected. In the abstractism that Marco Angelini offers us, we can observe how to comment on humans, traditions, animals and nature on a level of equality, that of art.

I expect, with the same confidence as the artist, that hopes are a daily connotation and applaud this great humanity which, by memory, preserves, ensures, sublimates.

تطور الفنانين في شبه القارة التي تسمى شبه الجزيرة العربية دخل بشكل سريع في العالم الجديد ليطلع على العديد من المبادرات المختصة بالفن المعاصر، هذا التيار الفني يحلل العديد من التساؤولات حول حقيقة هذه المنطقة التي تطور بشكل مستمر.

ماركو أنجليني هو أحد الفنانين المجذوبين لهذه المعاصرة يرفض الخطوط العريضة مستخدما الأرض والأشخاص الذين تحولوا من كونهم اشياء ملاحظة إلى أعمال فنية بأبعاد صغيرة من خلال معرضه في غاليري الفن الحديث في أبو ظبي (Novus Art Gallery) . والذي حمل عنوان "المدن الصحراوية"

 بعد إنتهاء حرب الخليج وتحرير الكويت العديد من العائلات السعودية تبنت نمط حياة متسم بإتباع الموضة والترف كوجه من وجوه القوة الإقتصادية السعودية.

الإماراتيون يعيشون في بيئة طبيعية معقدة حياتهم قائمة على الكفاح الدؤوب من أجل النهوض بالمناطق الصحراوية. تعرض المدن كيف أن الممارسات الإنسانية تستطيع أن تندمج مع الطبيعة من خلال تحويل جذري للأماكن. المدن التي نشأت خلال العقود القليلة الماضية تجعل من تلك الأماكن معاصرة وترسل سكانها نحو مستقبل متواصل مع الإحتفاظ بالماضي.

ماركو أنجليني يحلل التحول الإجتماعي والثقافي ويستخدم الفن من أجل البدأ بحوار معاصر مركزا على لونين: الأبيض والأسود. تنقل هذه البدائية تأملات دقيقة حول التقاليد التي تبدو مختفية من حاضر لابد منه.

قسم من سكان الإمارات يستخدم الثياب التقليدية البيضاء للرجال والسوداء للنساء و إكسيسوارات ملونة من الموضة العالمية تتم هذا الأسلوب المميز. تركيز الفنان لا يتطرق إلى الصورة النمطية التي تصنف كل شعب على حدا بل تتقاطع هذه التحديدات محفزتاً مواضيع مختلفة. هذه الإشارة المميزة لا ترغب ان تكون ممثلة للشخص بمفرده بل تجعل كل شيئ غير مصنف وبالتالي متساوي. ومن خلال هذا يصبح إخبار الرمز الحذر من قبل أنجيليني عملية سيميائية تصل البادرة الفنية مع الوصف الأدبي للإستدامة البيئية المنحرفة بشكل واضح.

من المعتاد أن الأعمال الفنية ذات الأبعاد الصغيرة يجب أن تدرس من خلال رمزها النمطي ومن خلال الإقتراب من حوار مبني على حزف الهوامش. بالواقع هذه الطراز يعيد الألوان و يتبع الأحاسيس ويلاحظ التحول: الشكل القديم هو الذي يخلق الحوارات.

كل لوحة من اللوحات هي مقسمة إلى قسمين منفصلان بواسطة خط أفقي، الأولان والأشكال المختصرة والتي تبدو منفصلة تلوث بعضها البعض بشكل مستمر ومن مجملها ينئشأ التفسير من خلال إعادة قراءة تفاصيلها. في بعض اللوحات نلاحظ كيف أن اللون الأبيض يتفاعل مع اللون البني الذذي يعبر عن تجريد أساسي للعناصر البيئية: الصحراء والجليد.

إن البحث عن تساوي في الإمارات العربية المتحدة يجلب الإنسان إلى مركز الكفاح المليء بالإحترام للبيئة التي تستضيفه. الفن المعاصر هو فن إستثنائي يساعدنا على تأطير مشاكل مهمة تبدو غير قابلة للحل. 

ماركو انجليني يعيد الإيجابية في أعماله الفنية وبفضل قوة ملاحظة الإنسان و بفضل التقنيات الحديثة هو يدرك الحلول المستقبلية ويصورها في أعماله. إن الأعمال في هذه الدورة الفنية القوية والحساسة تجعلنا نتعرف على التفاصيل والتحولات والسلام مع البيئة. النزعة إلى التغير هي عملية ثقافية تنفذها الدول العربية في وقت قصير جدا، التقنيات الجديدة المصنوعة من قبلهم توفر للجيل الجديد سيناريو مقسم إلى قسمين: الماضي والمستقبل، التنقنيات والتقاليد الثقافة القديمة و الثقافة الحديثة.

إن الإعمال الفنية لمعرض "المدن الصحراوية" تتبع إيديولوجيا إجتماعية و بيئية من الواجب أن تبقيان قريبتان مادامتا مترابطتين. في التجريد الذي يقدمه لنا ماركو أنجيليني نستطيع أن نلاحظ كيف أن الإنسان، التقاليد، الحيوانات، والطبيعة تكون متساوية على المستوى الفني.  أنتظر بنفس الثقة التي يمكلها الفنان أن الأمل يستطيع إيجاد دلالة يومية ويستطيع تشجيع هذه الإنسانية العظيمة التي من خلال الذاكرة التي تحفظ و تعتني ب وتعزز.

Il progresso degli artisti di quel vasto sub-continente trapezoidale conosciuto con il nome di penisola arabica è entrato velocemente in un mondo nuovo spalancando lo sguardo verso molteplici iniziative dedicate all’arte contemporanea.

Questo movimento artistico analizza differenti interrogativi sulla realtà di un territorio in continua evoluzione.

Marco Angelini attratto da questa contemporaneità, ne declina i contorni utilizzando territorio e persone che transitano da “oggetto osservativo” a opere dalle piccole dimensioni. Il suo lavoro diventa un ciclo d’arte, dal titolo “Desert cities”, che è stato esposto in un passato recente presso la Novus Art Gallery di Abu Dhabi.

La guerra del Golfo che portò alla liberazione del Kuwait, traghettò molte famiglie ad accostare tradizioni e stili ad altre forme “condizionate” dalla moda e dallo sfarzo che emblematizzano il potere saudita.

Gli emiratini vivono in un ecosistema complesso e la loro vita è costruita sulla perseverante lotta dell’avanzare delle zone desertiche. Le città mostrano come l’operato umano possa integrarsi con la natura, attraverso una trasformazione radicale dei luoghi. Le metropoli nate poche manciate di decenni fa, le rendono contemporanee e proiettano i propri abitanti verso un costante futuro, trattenendo il passato.

Marco Angelini ne analizza la metamorfosi sociale e culturale e utilizza la sua arte come leva per avviare un dialogo innovativo puntando su due colori: il bianco e il nero.

Questa essenzialità comunica attente riflessioni sulla tradizione che pare fuggire da un inevitabile presente.

Una parte degli emiratini utilizza abiti tradizionali, bianchi per gli uomini e neri per le donne, e accessori colorati di alta moda, ne completano lo stile distintivo.

Ma il focus dell’artista non sfiora minimamente lo stereotipo al quale tutti i popoli vengono accostati, anzi tali definizioni intersecano e sollecitano differenti temi.

Questo segno distintivo non desidera essere rappresentativo della persona stessa ma rende tutto non classificabile e quindi egualitario.

Raccontare il segno attento di Angelini diventa in questo modo un’operazione semiotica che connette il gesto artistico alla descrizione letteraria della sostenibilità ambientale, evidentemente ricettacolo di declinazioni.

E’ evidente che i lavori di piccolo formato vanno analizzati nella loro cifra stilistica approcciando un discorso che si basa sull’eliminazione del marginale.

Difatti egli riporta i colori ne traccia il sentimento e lascivamente ne osserva il divenire: è l’exforma che ne suscita dialoghi.

Ogni opera è suddivisa egregiamente in due parti con un taglio orizzontale, i colori e le forme astratte apparentemente separate si contaminano continuamente, è nella loro interezza che nasce l’interpretazione attraverso la ri-lettura dei particolari.

In alcune opere possiamo ammirare il colore bianco accostato al color marrone: un essenziale astrattismo, un rimando a tematiche ambientali: il deserto e i ghiacciai.

La ricerca di equilibrio degli Emirati Arabi riporta sempre l’uomo al centro in una lotta colma di un riverente rispetto nei confronti dell’ambiente che li ospita.

L’arte contemporanea è straordinaria e ci aiuta a inquadrare, in un breve frame problemi, importanti e apparentemente irrisolvibili.

Marco Angelini restituisce sempre positività nei suoi lavori e grazie all’osservazione degli uomini e delle tecnologie egli ne intuisce future soluzioni poggiandole sulle sue tele.

Le opere di questo delicato e forte ciclo, a questo punto ci fanno intravedere dettagli, trasformazioni e pacificazioni con l’ambiente.

La propensione al cambiamento è un’operazione culturale che i Paesi Arabi stanno attuando in un tempo molto breve. Le innovazioni tecnologiche da loro messe in campo, offrono alle nuove generazioni uno scenario diviso a metà: il passato e il futuro, la tecnologia e la tradizione, la cultura antica e quella contemporanea.

Le opere di “Desert cities” tracciano un’ideologia sociologica e ambientale che devono restare vicine perché interconnesse. Nell’astrattismo che Marco Angelini ci propone, possiamo osservare come gli esseri umani, le tradizioni, gli animali e la natura siano su un piano di uguaglianza, quello dell’arte.

Attendo, con la stessa fiducia dell’artista, che le speranze possano trovare una connotazione quotidiana e applaudire a questa grande umanità che, attraverso la memoria, preserva, sanifica, esalta.

Da tempo mi affascina Abu Dhabi, una città in equilibrio tra modernità e natura: da un lato le architetture di vetro e cemento, dall’altro la distesa di sabbia e il blu dell’oceano. È una metropoli che rappresenta non solo il centro politico e industriale degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, ma anche un vivace crocevia culturale e artistico in continua trasformazione.

La vita quotidiana dei suoi abitanti è intimamente legata al paesaggio naturale. Costruita su un’isola, Abu Dhabi si apre su una lunga Corniche, il celebre lungomare che corre per oltre dodici chilometri e, nell’entroterra desertico, accoglie due grandi oasi alimentate da profonde falde acquifere.

L’acqua, il sole e la sabbia sono diventati la matrice di una serie di opere che ho intitolato Desert Cities. In esse emergono forme astratte e ritmi cromatici che richiamano, attraverso tonalità dominanti come il giallo, il bianco, il nero e il marrone, il turchese e il verde, gli elementi primordiali di questo ambiente.

Ho voluto anche evocare i colori dell’abbigliamento tradizionale emiratino – il bianco delle kandura maschili e il nero delle abaya femminili – intrecciandoli con segni e forme che alludono alla natura. Gli sfondi, dai toni caldi della terra e delle rocce, sono attraversati da improvvisi bagliori di colore: accenti vivi che rimandano alla vitalità dei souk, ai mercati delle spezie e all’energia sensoriale che anima la città.
